Risks of Bacon

Bacon is a Red Meat which means it is high in saturated fats which can lead to high levels of cholesterol and an increase in risk of heart disease. While it is clear that eating bacon can lead to heart problems and clogged arteries, it is not certain that eating bacon causes cancer. Although it hasn’t been proved, bacon and processed meats seem to make the risk higher for being diagnosed with colon cancer.

Prevention of Cancer caused by Bacon

According to the American Cancer Society, it is advised to eat less red meats and less processed meat. Doing this would decrease risks of heart diseases and possibly lower the risk of developing cancer. Instead adding fruits,vegetables,grains,beans to your diet would make you healthier and lower the chance of cancer and other diseases.

Does Bacon Actually Cause Cancer?

Although the causes and cures for cancer are still unknown, we know what makes you more susceptible to cancer (bacon, red meats, processed meats etc.) and what can be done to lower the chance of getting cancer (healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables etc.). In conclusion, bacon can increase the risks of getting cancer making it a cause of cancer.

Conclusion

To conclude a high percentage of people that ate red meat such as bacon were diagnosed with cancer. Bacon can lead to heart diseases and even cancer. While cancer doesn’t have a clear cause bacon still raises the risks of developing cancer.
